Where is Verdon Les Grands Domaines located and how do you access the site?

Verdon Les Grands Domaines is located in the heart of the Lower Gorges of the Verdon, on a calm Verdon reservoir between two dams, in a preserved natural environment.

Access is via departmental roads, followed by a track on the final section.
This configuration is part of the natural character of the site. Access remains possible for standard vehicles, although slow and careful driving is recommended.

Is the domain suitable for families?

Yes. The domain is family-run and welcomes families, couples, retirees and outdoor enthusiasts, provided they appreciate a natural, non-urban setting without highly standardised facilities.

The atmosphere is calm and respectful, in line with the spirit of the place.

Is the domain suitable for pets?

Yes. The domain is pet-friendly and pets are welcome, provided they are respected by their owners and kept in line with the site’s environment and other guests.

Dogs can swim in the Verdon directly from the campsite, using the natural access. Other nearby swimming spots are also available, such as Lake Artignosc, on the Saint-Laurent-du-Verdon side.

Many walks and hikes are accessible with dogs, and the large size of the domain makes it ideal for short on-site walks.
A pet-sitting solution is also available nearby, should this be needed during your stay.

How can you access the Verdon and water activities?

The Verdon River is directly accessible on foot from the domain, in a very wild and minimally developed area.
Access is via rocks, offering a remarkable natural experience, but requiring caution and autonomy, especially with young children or people with reduced mobility.

Canoe, paddle and other watercraft departures all take place from the same spot, directly from this natural access.

What services are available on the domain?

The domain offers essential services for a comfortable stay: on-site reception, tourist information, a bar and restaurant, and two swimming pools with varied depths, suitable for both children and adults.

The bar and restaurant are located in the main living area of the domain, close to the pools. This area is designed as a place for meeting and conviviality, while respecting the calm atmosphere of the site.

Are there specific services for campers?

Yes. Campers have access to a water refill point.

However, cassette waste disposal for motorhomes is not currently available.
A solution is under study for 2027.

What natural sites and hiking routes can be discovered around the domain?

The domain is an ideal base camp for exploring the Lower Gorges of the Verdon.
Nearby highlights include the Garde Canal hike, Lake Artignosc, the Bauduen Gorges, Lake Quinson, and the downstream gorges towards Esparron, either on foot or by gentle navigation.

We also occasionally organise trail running or jogging outings for enthusiasts.
Exploring the area on foot or while running is fully part of the DNA of the place.

Does the domain provide on-site guidance or information?

Yes. A welcome booklet is available in each accommodation and at reception.
Our team is also available to help guests with routes, access to the Verdon, and nearby points of interest.
